Help Us Clean Berkeley Marina Isn’t it a good idea to live in a cleaner place? Clean water, promoting a healthy planet, changing how we do things, that is what BayGreen is all about. We live and work on the Bay — literally. By day we help sailors and boaters properly dispose of waste and by night we live on a 39-ft sailboat. As we leave our boat in the morning, our four-year-old daughter Zoë says “EW! More trash in the water?!” We’ve taken on the challenge — it’s a big marina and a big job, we’d like to invite you to join Zoë, BayGreen and Shorebird Park Nature Center in keeping the Bay clean, starting with the Berkeley Marina, our front yard.

On the day of the cleanup:
Wear sturdy shoes and dress in layers. Shorebird Nature Park can provide materials but if you can bring your own gloves and buckets it helps.
All clean-ups include information about plastics pollution, give you ideas on how to help at home and end with a safety talk.
Data is collected at each clean-up, so we have facts to change laws.
Shorebird Nature Park will lead us to the location and show us how to deal with the trash and recycling.
